     Virginia Peninsula Paralegal Association (VaPPA) is a voluntary, nonprofit, nonsectarian, non-union, nonpartisan organization composed of paralegals who are interested in furthering their professional development and are dedicated to the advancement of the paralegal profession, legal educators and organizations that are interested in promotion of the profession, and students who are currently enrolled in a paralegal education program.
​     The purposes of VaPPA are to (i) establish good following among its members, NALA, and members of the legal community; (ii) encourage a high order of ethical and professional attainment; (iii) further education among members of the profession; (iv) cooperate with bar associations; and (v) support and carry out programs, purposes, aims and goals of NALA, particularly the CLA certification program.

VaPPA is an affiliate of the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. (NALA), a professional association for paralegals incorporated in 1975 in response to the need for a voice for paralegals nationwide.

VaPPA is a member of the Virginia Alliance of Paralegal Associations (VAPA). VAPA is comprised of nine paralegal associations and five area liasons representing over 1,500 paralegals in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
